 Wheaten Marans in Natural Setting

The Wheaten Maran has to be the most stunning of all Marans. Dues to the lovely contrast between the cock and the hen. To be able to just have such a contrast in the poultry yard gives a since of warmth and harmony in the yard. The two birds compliment each other so well.  The hen with her soft warm hues of buff and browns just seem to show her as being so delicate.  While your cock with his more dominate colors gives him a look of strength with his bright golden copper hackles that reflect sunlight strongly.
